Working as a Canadian Certified Addiction Counselor, especially when working with
indigenous communities, is like navigating a winding river, full of twists and turns. It can be
both challenging and rewarding. In my role, I've had the privilege of working closely with
indigenous communities to promote positive change and progress.
I take immense pride in my counseling experience, where I've dedicated myself to providing
tailored, high-quality counseling snd therspy services within a culturally sensitive, nurturing,
and nonjudgmental framework. I have experience treating a variety of issues by offering
counseling services using motivational interviewing, Solution-Focused brief therapy, and
cognitive behavioral therapy with a trauma-focused perspective. I can support my clients
through life transitions, identity challenges, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, substance
abuse, family challenges. This approach is vital in building trust and collaboration, as well as
in devising effective strategies to address the unique needs and aspirations of my clients
I work collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and develop goals and
individualized treatment plans as I believe everyone is unique and deserves to be heard,
respected, and understood.I have experience treating a variety of issues such as anxiety,
depression, addiction, low self-esteem, ADHD, anger management, trauma, stress, and
adjustment/life transitions.
